Solenoids §

Solenoids are electromagnets formed by a cylindrical coil of water, that usual produce a nearly uniform electromagnetic field. Because of this, a magnet that runs through a solenoid will cause a current. Solenoids essentially convert electrical energy to mechanical energy.
